Cats and their unusual friendship

In the animal kingdom, you just can’t predict who will be friends with whom. Domestic cats, especially young kittens, are known for their love of play. For cats, life in proximity with humans (and other animals kept by humans) amounts to a “symbiotic social adaptation”. They may express great affection towards their companions, especially if they imprint on them at a very young age and are treated with consistent affection. I’ve used photos of my cats and had Quality Logo products produce everything from calendars to refrigerator magnets. They make neat holiday gifts!
Domestic cats use many vocalizations for communication, including purring, trilling, hissing, growling, snarling and several different forms of meowing. Due to the close similarity between play and hunting, cats prefer to play with objects that resemble prey, such as small furry toys that move rapidly, but rapidly lose interest in a toy they have played with before.

I’ve got 15 or so cats (if you count the barn cats), and you’d never get a photo involving any of my cats like any single one of those pictured above.
Of the non-felines pictured, those that my cats wouldn’t kill and eat they’d stay the hell away from.
